12/12/2011 - My V-Trafic for Windows Phone: traffic and weather information always at hand

Ivry-sur-Seine, December 5, 2011 – Mediamobile, provider of the V-Trafic range of traffic information services, has launched My V-Trafic, a free traffic application, enriched by Météo France weather forecasts, for Windows Phone 7. 5.

‘My V-Trafic’ will enable motorists to find out about traffic conditions in just a few clicks – and in real time. Having this kind of accurate information saves both time and fuel, and helps drivers to reach their destination with a minimum of hassle.

Application key features include:

• Colour-coded traffic speed indicators (green, orange, red and black) enabling users to choose a congestion-free route.

• Traffic incident information including accidents, road works and road closures. Knowing the cause of congestion helps motorists anticipate better.

• Detailed Météo-France forecasts for over 1,000 French cities.  In just one click, weather forecasts for the next half day and the next three days can be viewed. By checking My V-Trafic before they set off, users can take any unfavourable weather ahead into account.

• Quick access to maps covering the whole of France - over 320,000 km of motorways, trunk roads and secondary roads. Drivers can check traffic conditions detail, using an extremely accurate zoom-in feature.

• Easy search using the Bing Maps search engine. For instance, by just typing in ‘Sacre Coeur, Paris’, My V-Trafic shows traffic conditions in the neighbourhood. 

• Favourites at your fingertips. Save a map of a town or district and pin it to the home screen using Live Tile. The total length of congestions and the number of accidents in the area are displayed directly.
