Service background
Mediamobile compares all data collected in the field and interprets the results.
A traffic event is the summary of several data:
- Location: latitude and longitude
- Type: traffic jams, accidents, road works, closures, lane reductions…
- Expected duration and direction.
This rapidly changing data achieves an detailed and global view on each traffic disturbance.
Service Broadcast
Being particularly useful when on the move, this service is available in most onboard vehicle navigation systems and many mobile navigation systems (PND).
The service is currently broadcasted via RDS-TMC, the web, the operator network services and connected dynamic screens.
Updates are performed in real time and allow Mediamobile’s customers, as well as the end user, to receive the most reliable and refined information possible on traffic hazards, travel time of a professional journey or vacation.
Client references
Renault - Mediamobile’s first historic client - equips all its car navigation systems with Mediamobile traffic information services. The GPS chip receives and interprets the traffic broadcast on the FM frequency (RDS-TMC), information which is then broadcasted on the vehicle’s built-in screen.
